Willie Burnley Jr for Mayor

After years of passing laws to support renters, cyclists & pedestrians, and our trans community, our campaign is taking the extraordinary step to challenge the incumbent to become the next Mayor of Somerville. We know that we can move with more urgency on our most pressing issues, whether they be supporting our schools and investing in our municipal buildings, transforming public safety by providing more tools for residents to feel safe without the threat of violence or arrest, or ensuring that our neighbors, local artists, and local businesses are not displaced. In order to be successful, we need your financial support!

During this campaign, we will need to pay for literature to inform our neighbors, mailers that cost tens of thousands of dollars, and campaign staff to help us build events that are engaging and bring joy to local politics. All of this is impossible without your donations, so please give what you can and share with your friends.

In keeping with our values, our campaign will reject money from:

  1. Fossil fuel executives, lobbyists, or PACs
  2. Those working for the carceral state (cops, constables, sheriffs, parole officers, ICE agents, etc)
  3. The charter school industry
  4. For-profit real estate developers
  5. Healthcare executives

If you prefer to send a contribution via check, checks can be made payable to "Burnley Committee" and can be mailed to:
