
Hon. William T. Little brings nearly two decades of distinguished service as a judge, trial attorney, litigator, and legal counsel. Currently serving as an Acting Supreme Court Justice and County Court Judge in the Third Judicial District, he presides over complex legal matters including trials, Article 78 proceedings, Temporary Extreme Risk Protection Order Hearings, and grand jury proceedings.
Judge Little’s legal career spans federal, state, and municipal courts, where he has demonstrated deep expertise in trial procedure, evidentiary standards, and judicial decision-making. His prior role as Counsel to the Secretary of the New York State Senate further honed his ability to manage high-stakes litigation, advise on sensitive investigations, and lead key legislative reforms.
He is also a dedicated leader within the legal community, having served as President of the Albany County Bar Association and currently co-chairing its Racial Justice Committee. Judge Little is committed to mentorship and public service, regularly speaking at schools and local organizations to engage and inspire the next generation of legal professionals.
A lifelong New Yorker, Judge Little was born and raised in Monticello, graduated from Monticello High School in 1995, and earned degrees from Sullivan County Community College and the University at Albany. He now lives in the City of Albany with his wife and two children.
