Dear friends,
I’m running for State Senate because this is a defining moment for California. I believe in a California where hard work leads to opportunity, where workforce and economic justice aren’t just ideals but everyday realities, and where we create real pathways into the middle class.
At a time when our state faces deep uncertainty—when our safety net is under threat by the White House through cuts to programs like Medi-Cal, Medicare, and Head Start, the dismantling of the Department of Education, the rollback of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts, and attacks on the very foundation of our Constitution—we must act with urgency. These are direct threats to our children’s future, to our beloved grandparents and aging parents, to our immigrant families and communities, and to our most vulnerable populations.
As the fifth-largest economy in the world, California has both the responsibility and the power to lead the nation in protecting working families, expanding opportunity, and defending our most fundamental rights. We have fought—and won—for reproductive freedom, and we will continue to protect the right to quality public education, invest in great teachers, expand access to childcare and after-school programs, and ensure every child has the chance to succeed.
This moment demands leadership that understands people aren’t coming from the left or the right—but from the bottom up. We need bold policies that uplift workers, protect our communities, build affordable housing, strengthen infrastructure, and drive progress toward our renewable energy goals. We must invest in real workforce and economic development that supports small businesses and fuels the entrepreneurial spirit that defines California.
I’m committed to building a California that works for everyone—one where the dignity of work is honored, and the American Dream is truly within reach.
