Your donation to Voters for a Vibrant Newton will support City Council candidates who actively advocate for a vibrant, sustainable, affordable and welcoming Newton.



DONATION GUIDELINES:


All donations shall comply with the rules, regulations and limits set for Political Action Committees by the Office of Campaign & Political Finance for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These rules include but are not limited to:


  • $500 maximum contribution from an individual.
  • $50 maximum cash contribution, $100 maximum money order contribution.
  • The PAC may not accept contributions from businesses (corp., LLC, LLP)
  • All contributions must include the name and address of the contributor.
  • Contributions of $200 or more must report the occupation and employer of the contributor.
  • $200 maximum contribution from a registered lobbyist.
  • Donations will not be accepted from developers/builders with projects, current or pending, before the City Council.
  • Donations will not be accepted from land use/ zoning attorneys working in Newton.
  • Donations will not be accepted from people who have business pending before the City Council.

 

Contribution rules

  1. I am at least eighteen years old.
  2. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  3. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  4. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
