Jennifer Spadafora is the current ward 3 school committee representative and Vice Chair of the Malden School Committee. She lives in Malden's West End with her husband, two sons, and three fur-babies. Her oldest daughter is married and serving in the United States Coast Guard and most recently made Jennifer a grandma.
When Jennifer's youngest son was diagnosed with Autism, she made it her mission to ensure he received an education like his peers. Having experienced inequities in the school system, Jennifer noted that change was needed and decided to run for the Malden School Committee. In the past 6 years of serving, Jennifer has brought in a new food service vendor for healthier meal options, served on the Superintendent search committee, acted as the liaison to SEPAC for 4 year and worked to bring out of district students back to MPS. Jennifer currently sits as the chair of the following subcommittees: Negotiations, Policy & Procedure, Equity & Opportunity and Superintendent Evaluation. She is also the liaison to SHORE Collaborative.
