Help Thierry Tchenko continue to fight for everyday Texans!
Thierry Tchenko is a non-profit executive at one of Texas’ largest providers of affordable housing. He was born and raised in Southwest Houston to two immigrants from Cameroon. Thierry’s dad upon arrival to the United States was a gas station worker at Stop and Go on Bellaire and Fondren and his mom worked at the former Continental Airlines call center on Richmond and Briarpark. Thierry has lived in the neighborhoods of Sharpstown, Alief, Westchase, etc. He received his bachelor's degree from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas and his Master's Degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. In 2024, he was a candidate in the Democratic Primary for the U.S. Senate. Thierry in his professional career has served as a civil servant in The White House Office of Management and Budget, been an organizer in Acres Home and NW Houston, and worked as a Health and Public Safety Policy Advisor to the Mayor of Washington, DC. He is on the board of Rebuilding Together Houston, Houston Black American Democrats, McMurry University Alumni Association and serves as an advisory board member to the Georgetown University Club of Houston. Thierry is married to Gloria Martinez-Tchenko and they live in the Southwest Houston neighborhood of Alief.
