I'm Tim Alexander, and I'm not a career politician. My life has been about service. It started when I was a victim of police brutality. That experience could have left me bitter, but instead, I chose to join the force to change the system from the inside. I spent 27 years in law enforcement, rising to Captain of Detectives, then served as a prosecutor, and now I fight for justice as a Civil Rights Attorney.
I've seen our system from every angle, and I know our communities are hurting. Here in South Jersey, we have over 23,000 people living in poverty in Cumberland County, over 35,000 in Atlantic County, and more than 8,000 in Salem County. Nearly 1000 federal career employees lost their jobs. People are struggling to afford the basics. And what has our current congressman done? He voted for a bill that would have slashed domestic spending, jeopardizing Medicaid for our seniors and most vulnerable, cutting food assistance for children and families. He voted against the Inflation Reduction Act, a bill that lowered prescription drug costs for seniors on Medicare. It's a shameful record that puts party politics ahead of the people he's supposed to represent.
The choice couldn't be clearer. My opponent is a career politician who switched parties to save his job and now votes against the interests of our most vulnerable neighbors. I believe leadership is the solution. I've spent my entire life protecting and serving this community, and in Congress, I'll provide the leadership needed to fight the pacifist GOP. Together, we stand up in a rally against the Trump tyranny and those who are complicit in his plans or remain silent as he attacks the middle class and people experiencing poverty.
