ELECT ERIC TAYLOR TO BERKS COURT OF COMMON PLEAS


Public service has always been at the heart of Eric Taylor’s legal career. Before becoming a Magisterial District Judge, Eric dedicated more than 12 years as an Assistant Public Defender at the Berks County Public Defender’s Office. In this role, he represented individuals in a variety of legal proceedings, including preliminary hearings, appellate hearings, and parole and mental health commitment proceedings. His extensive courtroom experience spans both bench trials and jury trials.

Eric was elected to be the Magisterial District Judge for West Reading & Wyomissing in 2017 and has proudly served as the District Judge for these two boroughs since 2018. With over seven years of judicial experience, he brings proven leadership in running a courtroom, holding hearings, and making fair and impartial legal decisions.
