Thank you for having faith in me to lead the Sheriff's Office in Champaign County since 2018! I believe in a common-sense approach to our community challenges. In a world of "us versus them" in politics, I have proven my ability to be open-minded to all ideas in pursuit of what is best for Champaign County, not myself. That's because I don't want to be a politician - I want to make my community better and safer.
Some of my core leadership principles include:
- Work closely with community organizations to help overcome community challenges.
- Encourage a culture of professionalism, compassion and mutual respect. Be fair and reasonable.
- Remain open-minded when analyzing challenges and solicit diverse perspectives when exploring solutions.
- Invest in resources to help employees be safer and more effective in their roles.
- Use data to make informed decisions.
- Continuously look for better and more effective ways of doing things.
- Make the right decisions for the right reasons.
Your support helps to ensure we can continue all of the progress we've made so far! I appreciate your donation to my re-election campaign!
