I’m Seema Patel – a mother, Planning Commissioner, and community organizer – and I’m running for San Mateo City Council (District 3) to build a city where everyone can thrive.


My husband and I put down roots here 12 years ago, drawn by the walkable streets and friendly community. Now, I’m running to ensure San Mateo is affordable, safe and sustainable for future generations.


I don't just talk about solutions, I deliver them:

  1. As a Planning Commissioner, I’ve navigated complex decisions to approve housing we desperately need.
  2. As the founder of Safe Streets for Everyone, I organized neighbors to demand safer infrastructure after tragic accidents.
  3. As a co-founder of the B Street Boosters, I raised funds to save our pedestrian mall and keep downtown vibrant.


I’m ready to lead, but I can't do it alone. Your contribution pays for the yard signs and mailers we need to reach every voter in District 3.
