Royce Mann is an education advocate and recent Emory alum running for Seat 8 At-Large on the Atlanta Board of Education to be the champion that Atlanta’s students deserve. A 2020 graduate of Midtown (formerly Grady) High School, Royce knows first-hand how the policies passed at the district level impact students within and beyond the classroom. On the Board, he will work tirelessly to improve outcomes for students by expanding science-based literacy initiatives, hiring more school counselors, working to achieve free public transportation for high schoolers, building inclusive and supportive leanring environments for students with disabilities, ending exclusionary discipline policies, and expanding access to diverse post-secondary options for all students.
For years, Royce has fought on the frontlines to end violence in our schools, expand postsecondary options, and uplift the voices of students in APS. With public education under attack at the state and federal level, Royce is running to stand up to the bullies coming for our schools and fight for our students!
