Who We Are

Rural Organizing Initiative (ROI) is a 501(c)4 non-profit corporation. Our mission is to promote full participation in democracy by educating communities on how and why their participation has an impact and supporting and promoting candidates for city and county offices who are aligned with our values.

What We Do

ROI trains community members about the civic and electoral process and coaches potential candidates for local and county offices who are aligned with our values.

Why We Do It

ROI believes that full participation in democracy is necessary and that in order to facilitate that, communities need both civic education and options on the ballot to vote for. To that end, we work to provide information and training on the civic and electoral process and find and support candidates to run for office so that voters have choices on their ballot.
