I’m running because our city council had been captured by real estate and developer interests and consistently votes with these big funders and against the interests of lower-income and average Austinites.
We need to take back our city. By defeating the incumbent, we can make a start on things like actually affordable housing for those most in need, better wages, and community wealth building. Austin needs a new economic development paradigm, not more of the same.
Sadly, money will make a big difference in this fight. And it will be tough because our opponent is an incumbent and has already raised around $200,000, almost half of which comes from real estate and developer interests. So, we’re fighting against some powerful and well-funded folks.
Austin needs new leadership, not business-as-usual establishment politicians. Join me in taking back our city!
