Rebecca Amidon lives nestled in the Manistee National Forest with her husband Ryan and their two children Ace, 5, and Indigo, 2.

Rebecca is running for the State Senate because she's angry. She is not blind to the discourse of people who are discouraged by the Democratic Party. She is here to tell those people that she agrees and she sees you. 

Republicans are fighting dirty, they’re finding loopholes, and they're ignoring court orders. Democrats are the only ones left playing according to the rules and Rebecca refuses to let the people of the 32nd district get railroaded any longer.

Rebecca will listen first and do what is best for every single person in the 32nd district, no matter if they are a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian or Independent. In order to bring unity to our country and our state, politicians must stop playing these tired old partisan political games. 

Rebecca is running because She is ready to fight! She is ready to hold the line and keep Michigan Blue. She is not running to become a career politician and play it safe to ensure re-election. She is rolling up her sleeves and getting in the mud with the pigs. 

Rebecca is a mother and a Michigander who is stepping up to try and make things right and fight for the working class. As a future-focused Democrat, her priorities are simple: properly fund our public schools, provide access for affordable childcare and healthcare, and to shed light on the everyday issues that keep Michiganders from thriving. Government should be used to improve its citizens' lives, not make it harder.
