My name is Steven Raga, Assemblymember for the 30th District and a longtime Western Queens organizer, and I’m running for State Senate District 12.
This race is personal. I was raised in Queens by a Filipina immigrant single mother, growing up in basement apartments and facing eviction notices. I know what it means to fight to stay in the neighborhood you call home.
For over two decades, I’ve organized in this community and served on Community Board 2. In Albany, I’ve delivered real results alongside our coalition partners. As a proud PSC-CUNY member, I’ll keep fighting for educators, students, and a people’s university working families can rely on.
I’m running to make rent more affordable and protect tenants, build more truly affordable housing, fully fund our public universities, protect immigrant families from deportation, guarantee healthcare for every New Yorker, and make childcare affordable for all — paid for by making the ultra-wealthy and big corporations finally pay their fair share.
We don’t take corporate PAC or dark money — this is a grassroots campaign powered by small donors. If you can, chip in to help us win in Western Queens.
