Our mission is to engage and empower Minnesotans to strengthen our democracy, particularly in non-urban areas.
With your support, we can:
- Organize, educate, and empower groups of volunteers
- Create action centers throughout greater Minnesota
- Engage and educate the public on issues impacting our communities
- Assist candidates running for local, state, and federal offices.
Practicing Democracy works with existing organizations and brings together new groups of volunteers, providing state- and community-specific resources needed to help engage and inform our neighbors, track elected officials, and assist local candidates.

Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer for individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. Contributions are not tax deductible.
Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- I am not a federal contractor.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
