Help Launch My Run for Wicomico County Council District 7!

My name is Megan Outten, and I’m a lifelong Wicomico County resident, a proud public servant, and candidate for Wicomico County Council District 7.

I’m running because I know what it means to grow up here, to struggle here, and to fight for a better future here.

Like many of you, I’ve watched our County settle for “just enough” for too long. But our families deserve more than the bare minimum. We deserve leaders who show up, roll up their sleeves, and get to work delivering real solutions.

That’s exactly what I’ve done these last few years:

  • I worked alongside Salisbury’s Sustainability Team to create the first-in-the-region plastic bag ban, tackling waste and protecting our environment, and preventing additional waste from clogging up our aging landfill.
  • On the City Council, I fought for policies and projects that brought affordable housing to our communities, because every resident deserves a place to call home.
  • I stood by our first responders and government workers who deserved livable pay and safer working conditions by championing a unanimous city council vote to recognize our FOP, IAFF, and AFSCME workers.
  • As the Chair of the Wicomico Women's Commission, I worked to address women's health resource access and opened the Shore's first-ever Pink Pantry.

This is about building a Wicomico where a family doesn’t have to choose between rent and childcare. Where young professionals can plant roots and grow. Where students graduate with the tools they need to succeed, not just survive.

And I can’t do it alone. It's people like you who believe in bold, community-first leadership.

Your donation - whether it’s $25, $100, or $500 - will help us knock every door, reach every voter, and share this message across the County.

It fuels the hope that real change is possible, and it puts that power back in the hands of the people. Let's build a brighter tomorrow for Wicomico!
