Our City Action Buffalo

Proudly Funded by the People!

This is OUR CITY and we have every right to it!

Our City Action Buffalo, better known as "OCAB," is a 501(c)4 organization that creates change by championing issue-based campaigns that shift power from the few to the many, and electing leaders who believe that community members have a right to be engaged, involved, and act as decision-makers, governing with instead of for.

In order to hold the powerful accountable we need to remain independent. That's why your financial contribution is SO important.

We're funded by the many, not the 1%.

Your financial support has real impact. We have stopped the City of Buffalo from spending taxpayer dollars on ShotSpotter, a gun detection technology that unfairly and inequitable targets over-policing in communities of color. Helped win two mayoral Democratic primaries (2021 and 2025). Held the City of Buffalo accountable on issues like food insecurity, profit-driven development, and charter revisions. We also issued a hundred page report on the powerbrokers of Buffalo and used it to do countless workshops on power research and mapping.

Our impact is undeniable. And over the past several years we have demanded a seat at the table and have grown our influence significantly.

In order to keep doing what we're doing, which is speaking truth to power, we need your financial assistance.

Together, we can win the city we so desperately need and so rightfully deserve.
