The No More 24 PAC is supported by people across New York City who want to put an end to the inhumane 24-hour workday.


In New York City, home attendants, majority of them women of color, are forced to work 24-hour workdays with little or no sleep, usually for days on end, taking care of seniors who need round-the-clock care. These grueling working conditions destroy the workers' health and ruin their relationships with their own families. It also endangers the patients by affecting the quality of care provided by tired and overworked home attendants. 


Outside NYC, 24-hour care is usually done in two 12-hour shifts or three 8-hour shifts. It's shameful that here in NYC, home care agencies and insurance companies can continue with the racist 24-hour workdays!


We must put a stop to this. The No More 24 PAC will support candidates in the New York City elections who support the No More 24 Act. It's common sense that 24-hour workdays should not exist. Period. We welcome any contributions, big and small, to support candidates who will finally end the 24-hour workday in NYC!

 

Contribution rules

  1. I understand that New York State law requires that a contribution be in my name and be from my own funds. I hereby affirm that this contribution is being made from my personal credit card account, billed to and paid by me for my personal use, and having no corporate or business affiliation; and is not being made as a loan.
  2. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
  3. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  4. I am at least eighteen years old.
  5. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
State law prohibits making a contribution in someone else’s name, reimbursing someone for a contribution made in your name, being reimbursed for a contribution made in your name, or claiming to have made a contribution when a loan is made.
