Running a campaign is expensive. I don't like it, but it is the reality. One of my goals as a legislator is to pursue a Minnesota version of the "Montana Plan," which is a way to prohibit “artificial persons” (corporations, nonprofits, LLCs) from spending money to influence elections, and would apply to in‑state and out‑of‑state corporations operating in Montana. Further it would ban dark‑money channels like 501(c)(4) nonprofits. Imagine a MN election cycle free from super PAC influence!
