My recent run for Hilliard City Council demonstrates my wholehearted commitment to serving our community—a commitment that has been shaped by a lifetime of dedicated service. Now, I am eager to embrace the opportunity to contribute once again, this time by working to enhance our Hilliard City Schools.

I am running for the Hilliard School Board because I care deeply about our community and firmly believe in the power of public education to shape a strong and promising future for every student.

My journey of volunteering in Hilliard began when my children were in elementary school, actively supporting and participating in PTO events. As they progressed to high school, I continued my involvement by serving on various booster clubs, deepening my commitment to our schools.

For eight years, I proudly served on the Hilliard Education Foundation, holding leadership roles including President, Vice President, Grants Chair, and Fundraising Chair. Through the Foundation’s grant programs, we funded numerous innovative initiatives that empowered teachers across the district. As President, I collaborated closely with the school district to coordinate the purchase of materials and furniture during the launch of the McVey Innovative Learning Center, ensuring a strong foundation for cutting-edge education. Working alongside district leaders, teachers and administrators on these projects sparked my growing interest in local government and public service.

I’ve continued that path by serving on Hilliard’s Planning and Zoning Commission and I am currently in my second year serving on the commission. It has been rewarding to participate in decisions that shape the growth and development of our city. I am committed to ensuring that all voices are heard, including those of our residents, the school district and neighboring townships, as we plan for the future.

For the past 22 years, I have also been an active member of the Rotary Club of Hilliard, an organization dedicated to supporting our schools and community. Our club’s initiatives include:

• Honoring one outstanding student each month from every high school as Student of the Month, celebrating the remarkable talent and character cultivated in our schools.
• Providing scholarships to graduating seniors to help them pursue their educational goals.
• Sponsoring Rotaract clubs at the high schools, where students engage in community service projects and develop essential leadership skills.

Now I’m ready to bring my experience and dedication to the Hilliard School Board. I want to be a strong advocate for our students, teachers, staff and families. 

Together, we can ensure every student receives a high-quality education in a safe, inclusive and forward-looking environment.
