Maritza Higuera is a mom, educator, part of a union family, and firefighter’s wife, ready to fight for Arizona families.
Born in Tucson and raised in Nogales, she returned to the U.S. at 18 with one dream: to become a teacher. She didn’t speak English, started working at McDonald’s, and never gave up. Today, she’s led early education programs across four counties and helped thousands of working families get ahead.
Maritza knows what it’s like to stretch a paycheck, fight for your kids’ future, and serve your community with pride.
She’s spent her life doing it.
In the Legislature, she’ll fight for:
She’s lived our struggles. She’ll fight for our future.
