Now, more than ever, we need leadership in Jackson County. In my experience as councilwoman and mayor of the Village of Forest Hills, I have honed those skills. I was a member and regular attendee at the Southwestern Commission Council of Government meetings. As mayor, I was named to the executive board of the Southwestern Commission. I was part of the regional Council of Governments Helene Recovery group. I actively participated in the NC League of Municipalities and the NC Mayors Association. I have built relationships with state and municipal elected officials across NC.

I will work to bring housing and economic development to Jackson County and protect our library system.
