As a community organizer, a change agent, a disability & human rights advocate, a mother of two, and the daughter of immigrants, I will listen and fight fiercely for real solutions and change.
In our very diverse district, I will ensure a stronger voice for everyone, including anyone from an underserved community. This mission is deeply personal to me; I was born in Taiwan, and my family and I came to the U.S. when I was a toddler. I never want to see anyone face discrimination like my family and I faced.
For over a decade, I have been standing up for all people. When there were cuts to the special education schools in Kent County, I stood up and organized families, educators, and allies to fight back. Through our collective efforts, we achieved historic systemic change. As a result, thousands of people have benefited from increased funding, resources, and accountability.
Together, we can create a people-powered movement for human dignity, fairness, and opportunity.
