Kyle Krahel is a lifelong Californian, raised in Oceanside, and driven by a deep commitment to public service and progressive leadership.
He graduated valedictorian of his high school and went on to earn a degree in Government from Harvard University. That academic foundation propelled him into roles that bridge grassroots advocacy with policy implementation.
In 2025, Kyle was unanimously elected Chair of the San Diego County Democratic Party. In this role, he leads strategy and operations for one of the most dynamic Democratic organizations in the country.
Kyle also serves as Deputy Chief of Staff and District Director to Congressman Mike Levin (D-CA), where he oversees constituent services and district operations, helping translate federal policy into local impact.
His policy priorities reflect his values: compassionate homelessness solutions, strong public transit, workers’ rights, education funding, and criminal justice reform.
