Kimberly’s candidacy is rooted in lived experience, deep community ties, and a lifelong commitment to service. A lifelong Detroiter, small business owner, public servant, and community activist, Kimberly is the owner of Lily’s & Elise Tea House, where she has invested directly in her community by creating jobs and supporting local vendors. She was raised in a family that taught her the value of hard work, leadership, and giving back. With more than 90 years of family roots in the district, she attended neighborhood schools and is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan–Dearborn. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and an advocate for environmental justice through her work aligned with the Michigan Environmental Council.
Kimberly understands firsthand the challenges facing families in District 11—from high utility costs to limited job access—and has dedicated her career to creating opportunity where it has been denied. With a proven record of investing in her community and rebuilding from the ground up, she brings steady, people-centered leadership focused on revitalizing neighborhoods in both Detroit and Warren. Thank you for supporting a campaign grounded in service, accountability, and hope for the future of Michigan’s 11th House District.
