Kiesha Preston is running for Delegate to turn HD-40 blue!
Kiesha Preston is a nationally recognized expert on gender-based violence with years of experience working with federal agencies on issues of economic justice, homelessness, and domestic/sexual violence.
She has spoken in congressional briefings and lent her expertise in White House Gender Policy Council roundtables.
But her commitment goes beyond professional expertise—it's personal.
In 2019 she wrote the Virginia Domestic Violence Victim's Protection Act, using her lived experience as a survivor to remove housing barriers for victims of financial abuse.
She's lived through domestic violence, housing insecurity, poverty, and gun violence. These lived experiences, combined with her professional background, make her uniquely qualified to tackle challenges in District 40.
She's running to turn the district blue and focus on the issues that matter most: housing, education, gun violence prevention, domestic violence, and protecting reproductive freedom.
Now more than ever, we need the right people in place at the state level to fight back against harmful policies that are trickling down from DC.
