
For years, I’ve taught young people how our democracy is supposed to work, but what we see in Washington doesn’t match the lessons I teach my students. That disconnect isn’t just disappointing, it’s dangerous.
I never set out to run for Congress. But as a teacher, a mom, and a Nana, I feel the urgency to step up and use my teacher voice to bring honesty, accountability, and common sense back into our politics — because government should work for people, not against them.
