Julien Segura is an interfaith political organizer and Democratic candidate running for the New York State Assembly in District 71, covering neighborhoods including Sugar Hill, Hamilton Heights, Inwood, & Washington Heights.


A first-generation Armenian-American and native New Yorker who grew up in low-income housing, Segura has professional experience as a political strategist on competitive campaigns across the country.


Segura's agenda for 2026 centers on a bold progressive platform with core legislative & budget priorities centering on Affordability, Universal Healthcare, and Free College Education for all New Yorkers.


Segura is also focused on issues like addressing the mental health crisis, housing affordability, supporting LGBTQ+ rights & womens health, protecting the rights of immigrants, and reforming public institutions like NYCHA to better serve our communities.
