Hi, I’m Dr. Julia Kocal.

For more than two decades, I’ve worked as a clinical psychologist and medical director, helping people navigate difficult decisions that affect their lives.

That’s how I believe government should work.

The decisions made at the county level impact your taxes, your roads, and your everyday life. After 25 years in Porter County, I’m running for County Council to bring a more thoughtful, transparent, and accountable approach to those decisions.

I’m focused on protecting taxpayer dollars, supporting working families and local jobs, and making sure growth benefits our community instead of burdening it.

That means supporting Project Labor Agreements and Responsible Bidder Ordinances, and asking hard questions about projects that could raise costs or strain our infrastructure.
