I’m Josie Caballero, a Navy veteran and lifelong public servant fighting for all Marylanders in Montgomery County. From operating nuclear reactors in the Persian Gulf to empowering community voices across the country, I have dedicated my life to public service.

Now I am running for County Council At-Large to champion policies that will serve Montgomery County. As we know, more than anytime in political history, we need bold, courageous leadership that does not back down from a fight. We need leadership to say the right thing even in the face of opposition.

I'm running because Montgomery County’s bold leadership stands as a beacon of hope as the federal government is turning its back on all Americans. We will not settle as everything our nation stands for gets destroyed. I know what it means to serve with integrity, to fight for what’s right, and to never back down in the face of adversity. I've organized on the frontlines for LGBTQIA+ rights, voting access, and economic justice. I bring both lived experience and have a deep policy background. Maryland needs leaders who understand the urgency of this moment and have the courage to act!

But, I can't do this alone. Running a grassroots publicly financed campaign takes all of us working together in order to win. Whether it’s $25, $100, or a max of $500, every donation helps us knock every door, connect with more voters, and fuel a movement for real, transformative change.
