Hi, I’m John Hunt, and I’m running for Salem City Council to represent Ward 5.


I’m a devoted Salem resident, neighbor, and advocate who believes our city works best when everyone has a voice. I’m running because I love this community and I believe in a Salem where housing is affordable, streets are clean and accessible, and local government truly serves the people who live here.


This is an open seat and a big opportunity for us to bring fresh energy, transparency, and progressive values to the council, but I can’t do it without your help. This campaign is people-powered and every single contribution helps us knock on more doors, reach more neighbors, and build real momentum.
