Since raising my family in Modesto, I have always been a community volunteer and advocate, just as I served in the military. Now, I serve our community through my foundation and as a trustee for the Board of Education for Modesto City Schools. My work focuses on ensuring all our children realize our school district's vision: Every student will graduate with the skills, knowledge, and character traits to thrive and contribute to society.

It is imperative that all our students are college and career ready when they graduate. As a Board member, I've put students, teachers, and parents first. My top priority is to

ensure continued educational quality, equity, and safety of our schools. These goals require experienced board members. This past year, our graduation rate is the highest in seven years, the dropout rate is the lowest, and the English Learners' reclassification rate increased by over 100%. Students

taking and passing Advanced Placement courses is the highest in recent history, and students taking dual enrollment courses increased by 200+.

Additionally, we've made significant advancements in facilities: increased security measures, nine elementary cafeterias, and renovated junior high science labs. Maintaining leadership at the Board level is essential for continued progress.
