John is a Navy Reserves Commander, a Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, and until January 2025, led the Norfolk Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office. 

As a prosecutor, John has worked closely with victims and their families to deliver justice and led community violence intervention programs to address crime before it happens. He has seen firsthand how crime and inequity tear communities apart and knows what it takes to fix it.

Now, he is running for Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney to build a safer, stronger Norfolk – because everyone deserves to feel safe, no matter who they are or where they come from.
