Jeffrey Hulum III was born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi, and is a proud graduate of Gulfport Public Schools.
He entered the United States Army in 1996 and spent 22 years in uniform, completing six combat tours to Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan before retiring as a United States Army Sergeant Major. His service earned him the Bronze Star Medal, the Joint Meritorious Service Medal, and the Military Outstanding Service Medal.
When Jeffrey came home, his service did not stop. He returned to South Mississippi to fight food insecurity and stand up for children, seniors, veterans, and working families. Through hundreds of food distributions, his work has delivered hundreds of thousands of pounds of food to families who need it most.
In 2022, Jeffrey was elected to represent District 119 in the Mississippi House of Representatives, fighting for criminal justice reform, workforce development, and fully funded public schools. Jeffrey knows how government works, and how it doesn’t.
Jeffrey is focused on expanding access to affordable health care, strengthening public education, supporting veterans and seniors, and building real economic stability for working families. He is fighting to ensure our youth can build a future right here in South Mississippi and that government works for the people it represents.
Every Mississippian deserves access to quality health care, strong public schools, and a fair shot at success through hard work.
This campaign is powered by people who believe in that future. Together, we can deliver the leadership South Mississippi deserves.
