During my last four years, Kirkland has built new parks, improved the Cross Kirkland Corridor, and invested in complete streets, safe school walk routes, and the downtown waterfront. Kirkland added mental health professionals as a new type of first responder for those in crisis, freeing bandwidth for firefighters and police. We have implemented climate actions from our award-winning sustainability strategic plan. We are grounded in values as a safe, welcoming, sustainable community.
