As a new mom and reproductive rights activist, I know what it looks like to have the odds stacked against you: I have been pregnant and uninsured; I have had to drive 40 minutes to the nearest hospital for emergency care; and for the last 15 months, I have balanced motherhood with a full-time job.

 

I am running because, while necessities like Medicaid and SNAP are on the line, our elected officials in Frankfort are more focused on culture wars than ensuring we all have access to food, shelter, and health care.
