Senator Andy Kim knows what it’s like to have the odds stacked against you.
His 2018 election to Congress from New Jersey’s Third District made him the first Korean American Democrat to hold federal office.
That race, against a well-funded incumbent in a district that was more than 80% white and voted for Trump by six points, was the most expensive in New Jersey history. Until his victory in 2020, no Democrat had ever been re-elected from NJ-03 since before the Civil War.
Now, Andy wants to use his Leadership PAC, In Our Hands, to encourage and support AAPI and candidates of color to run for office up and down the ballot and expand civic engagement among historically forgotten communities. Andy believes together we can build a new generation of leadership.
Will you chip in today to support these efforts?
