My name is Jesse Harper. I was born and raised in Valparaiso, just down the street from Kirchhoff Park.
I grew up here, and I am dedicated to investing in our community with my wife, growing a successful family-owned law practice, and for the past six years, serving as the Center Township Trustee.
I believe in giving back to the city and community that helped shape me and want to ensure the Valpo we love is not erased with the unavoidable growth we'll see over the next decade. That is why I'm exploring a campaign to be your next Mayor.
I’m not rushing into this. Our election is still a ways off, and I’m using this time to do what I believe leaders should do first: listen. I want to hear from the people who live and work here: your hopes, your concerns, and what kind of future you want for our city.
Valparaiso is changing. That’s not a bad thing, change can be good. But it has to be thoughtful. It has to benefit everyone, not just a few. And it has to preserve the character of the community that shaped me, and so many of us.
This campaign isn't about me - it's about Valpo. And it will be powered by you, not driven by big money or party insiders. I’m starting early so I can do this the right way: with transparency, integrity, and a deep respect for every neighbor who calls Valpo home.
