When elected Vivian McKenzie will be the first African American Woman to ever be nominated for Mayor of the City of Peekskill.


Vivian has served on the Peekskill City Council since 2013 and was appointed Deputy Mayor by her colleagues in January 2020.


“Vivian McKenzie is one of the most capable and accomplished people to serve on the Common Council. There is no one more qualified to lead this City as its mayor,” said Peekskill Democratic City Committee Chairperson, Drew Claxton.
