Hi! I'm Amanda Peterson and I am running for my 4th term as a Trustee for the Village of Oregon.
I am about Building Community (literally and figuratively).
Accomplishments from my past terms:
- Increased funding for and helped to design the beautiful new Oregon Public Library that opened on Jan. 4, 2024.
- Increased affordable housing in Oregon (Prairie Brook completed November 2022, Habitat for Humanity project and Northpointe development (coming soon).
- Created the Ad Hoc Public Transportation Committee and received a statewide transportation planning grant to minimize cost to taxpayers.
During my next term, I will complete the transportation planning, advocate for a sustainable Oregon Area Senior Center, and prioritize listening to all voices, not just the loudest.
