Representative Debra Heffernan is working hard for Delaware’s working families.

Please support my campaign for re-election in 2026 for Delaware's 6th District State Representative so I can can continue getting results for all of Delaware's families.

I have worked hard in Delaware to pass laws for smart gun control including banning assault weapons, juvenile Justice reform and parental leave for state employees including all public school teachers.

Last Session the General Assembly passed my bill, the Climate Change Solutions Act , to combat climate change in Delaware and meet net zero emissions by 2050 using a whole of government approach. This session my bills concentrated on making energy more affordable for low and moderate income Delawareans and on Juvenile Justice reform by expanding the Civil Citation program. As Bond Chair, I am focusing on improving Delaware’s infrastructure and creating jobs.

There is so much more work to do including improving education and job training opportunities for Delaware’s students and for adults seeking better jobs. I am committed to continuing to address climate change and other environmental initiatives to make Delaware cleaner and greener.
