Faizah is running for City Council District 11 in order to build an LA where families of all backgrounds and incomes can thrive. When our government works for regular, everyday people instead of corporations and billionaires, we can bring costs down, have good quality and abundant affordable housing, and create more opportunities for our kids. Our vision for LA is diverse and inclusive, with good jobs, quality education, beautiful green spaces, clean air and water, safe, walkable streets, a connected transit network, and thriving small businesses and economic opportunities. We deserve a local government that works for us and fosters a future for all Angelenos in the city we love.
Faizah is a mom and resident of Venice. She was born and raised in Southern California to South Asian Muslim immigrants. She has spent her career as a community lawyer fighting to protect renters, build more housing, and improve the lives of working families. Her decades of experience as an advocate, public interest attorney, and government attorney has prepared her for the task of building the change we need to see citywide and on the Westside.
We are a community-powered, clean money campaign: we don’t accept donations from lobbyists, corporate interests, or the fossil fuels industry. That makes your support all the more critical for this election.
If you live in the city of Los Angeles, your donation of up to $143 is matched by the city by 6 to 1. That means your $143 donation turns into $1,000 for our campaign.
The maximum donation is $1,000 per person.
