It's Official: I'm Running for New York's 81st Assembly District
I'm Morgan Evers–a teacher, community organizer and parent–running to be a voice for change in the 81st Assembly District.
As a pragmatic progressive, I'm running a grassroots campaign focused on fighting for all of us in the 81st: Kingsbridge, Norwood, Riverdale, Spuyten Duyvil, Van Cortlandt Village, Wakefield and Woodlawn.
This seat has been held by an entrenched establishment candidate since 1994. The district since has changed and the needs of constituents have evolved.
Now, more than ever, we need fighters in Albany who will stand up to the fascist federal government threatening New York every day, not political dynasties preserving the status quo.
My top priorities are making our communities more affordable, expanding access to quality childcare, strengthening our local economy so businesses can grow, and ensuring every neighborhood in our district is safe and thriving
With your support, we can strengthen our movement to bring long overdue change and protect our communities against dangerous policies from Washington.
