Dimple Ajmera is a Working Mother, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Charlotte City Councilmember.
During her tenure on the City Council, Ajmera has been a fighter with a proven record. She chaired the Environment Committee to help Charlotte become a global leader in sustainability with bipartisan support.
Elected to her fourth term in 2023, Ajmera serves as Chair of the City Council Budget Committee, where she led a bipartisan approval of the $3.6 billion FY26 city budget—increasing investments in critical
community services and raising wages for police, firefighters, and city staff without raising
taxes.
Ajmera also has a record of bold accomplishments on public safety, affordable housing, infrastructure and economic development.
As a mother, Ajmera knows how important a child’s environment is for their future success and is committed to ensuring safety and security for each child.
