April Cook has called Concord home for more than 30 years. As a proud fourth-generation North Carolinian with deep family roots in Montgomery County, April has spent her life grounded in faith, community, and service.
As Co-Founder and former Executive Director of the Lake Norman Community Health Clinic, she’s helped thousands of uninsured North Carolinians access quality, affordable care. Today, as CEO of the NC Association of Free and Charitable Clinics, April continues that work statewide—advocating for dignity, opportunity, and access to care for all.
Now, she’s running for North Carolina Senate District 34 to bring her same servant-minded leadership to Raleigh.
