Greetings Friends,
All Things Bayview (ATB) continues to exists to uplift, protect, and empower the Bayview Hunters Point community. Our mission is to advance environmental justice, health equity, cultural preservation, and community power in a neighborhood that has endured decades of toxic exposure and systemic neglect. We work to ensure that every resident — especially our youth and elders — has the right to live in a safe, healthy, thriving environment.
Surrounded by some of the largest standing and mobile contaminated industrial operations in the United States including a State Superfund Site/Orphan Site and a Federal Superfund Site our neighborhood continues to face environmental conditions unlike anywhere else in the country.
According to CalEnviro Screen and EJ Screen, Bayview–Hunters Point residents suffer from the highest levels of cancer, asthma, and low birth weight in San Francisco. These cumulative exposures have contributed to shortened life expectancy and persistent health disparities that no community should ever be forced to endure.
Our GoalsYour contribution directly fuels ATB’s work to:
-
Fight for Environmental Justice We confront the legacy of contamination, advocate for cleanup and accountability, and push for policies that protect our community’s health.
-
Advance Health Equity We raise awareness about asthma, cancer clusters, and other health disparities — and fight for resources and solutions that address them.
-
Build Community Power We create platforms for residents to speak out, organize, and lead. The Earth Day Health Justice March & Rally is one of our most powerful tools for collective action.
-
Support Youth Leadership We invest in young people as organizers, educators, artists, and advocates who will carry this movement forward.
-
Celebrate and Protect Bayview Culture We uplift local artists, storytellers, and traditions that strengthen community identity and resilience.
Why We’re Asking for Your Contribution Your support fuels community‑driven solutions that are powerful, innovative, and rooted in self‑determination:
-
Community‑Owned Air Monitoring: We are building a resident‑controlled air monitoring network that brings transparency, accountability, and scientific truth directly into the hands of the people most impacted. Bayviewbreathes.org
-
Climate Justice Youth Leadership: Our young people are stepping into their power — learning environmental science, organizing for justice, and shaping a healthier future for Bayview with courage and brilliance.
-
Adult and Senior Empowerment Programs: From environmental education to civic engagement, we ensure that every resident — youth, adult, and elder — has the tools to advocate for their health, their rights, and their community.
-
Educated Community Voice: We amplify the lived experience and expertise of Bayview residents, ensuring that policy decisions and environmental actions reflect the wisdom of the people who call this neighborhood home.
- The development of All Things Bayview Environmental Justice Community Center — a community‑owned hub for education, organizing, healing, and environmental protection. This center will be more than a building, it will be a beacon of justice, resilience, and community ownership in a neighborhood that has long deserved investment, respect, and repair.
-
The Annual Bayview Hunters Point Earth Day Health Justice March & Rally is a major annual event — but the fight for justice continues long after the march ends.
Donations help ATB: Provide materials, supplies, and logistics for the march which includes:
- Support local performers, speakers, and youth leaders
- Offer community health resources and educational materials
- Amplify the voices of families impacted by environmental harm
- Sustain year‑round organizing, advocacy, and cultural programming
