Alex King is a lifelong Livonia resident and community advocate focused on making our community a better place to live, work, and play for everyone.
A proud graduate of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School in Livonia, University of Detroit Jesuit High School, and Xavier University (Cincinnati), Alex has dedicated his career to public service and civic engagement. He is a proud AmeriCorps alum who has worked with local nonprofits to improve public education (Focus: HOPE), combat food insecurity (United Way for Southeastern Michigan), and deliver disaster services in times of need (American Red Cross).
Active in our community, he serves on the Livonia Human Relations Commission, volunteers as a crisis counselor at Crisis Text Line, and is a member of the Livonia Jaycees (Junior Chamber) board of directors (Community VP), a nonprofit organization that fosters personal and professional development for young professionals (21-40) in the area.
Now, Alex is running for City Council to continue bringing people together and advocating for our community. He is committed to building a safe and healthy Livonia for all of us.
